Confidence Ultra 200 Treadmill

Is The Confidence Ultra 200 Treadmill Actually A Walking Treadmill?

Confidence Fitness Ultra 200 TreadmillFirst impressions of the Confidence Ultra 200 Treadmill are pretty good. The design is bold, with either a more traditional silver and black colour scheme or a fun white and pink option.

The slim frame and console suggest a more compact shape for easy storage, while there are also promises about a decent workout.

However, the deck also appears small, so is this really a good choice for running?

The Pros and Cons of this Confidence Ultra 200 Treadmill.

Pros:

  •  The folding mechanism for a slim, storable machine
  •  Features for extra enjoyment, such as the tablet holder and speakers
  •  12 preset exercises to choose from

Cons:

  •  The deck isn’t big enough for running because of the stride length
  •  The low speed and incline will also be limiting to a lot of users.

The Confidence Ultra 200 Electric Motorised Running Machine has a lot going for it in terms of features to get users motivated to work out.

There are lots of nice ideas in the design of this running machine to make life easier for users. The console on the top is easy to read with touch-sensitive controls. This lets you switch between the 12 preset exercises and also view a range of data streams.

There is a heart rate option with sensors in the handles on the side. The bonus of the Bluetooth speaker system means that you can also set up a playset to get you through your daily session.

Another advantage here is the folding frame. The small frame and slim design of this Confidence treadmill mean that you can fold it almost completely flat.

The tablet stand does stick out and add a couple of inches, but this is probably worthwhile for the benefits it provides for added entertainment. Once folded, it measures 70 x 61 x 127cm and you can easily prop it up against a wall.

The biggest issue is that you can’t really run on this Confidence Ultra 200 Running Treadmill.

The bottom line here is that this is not a running treadmill. There are two issues in the design and functionality of the machine to inhibit this.

The first is that there is a top speed of just 10kmph, this is considerably less than other machines and limits the intensity of a session.

It also doesn’t help that the highest incline here is 5 degrees. Then there deck size of 110x36cm, which doesn’t have the width or stride length needed for running. 36Cm is notably narrow compared to the 50+cm on other professional options.

What does this all mean for a final verdict on this Confidence Ultra 200?

What this all means is that this machine is instead best used for more gentle workouts. You may be able to enjoy a brisk walk or a jog at best. There will be plenty of people that have no problem with this and are in the market for an interesting walking treadmill like this.

The motion and the extra user-friendly features all allow for a good session if you respect the machine’s limits. The problem is simply in the misrepresentation of the machine’s abilities in the name.

Those that go into this purchase fully understanding what the Confidence treadmill can and cannot do could still get a lot out of it.
