Is The Googo 2 in 1 Folding Treadmill Twice As Useful?
The main selling point of the Googo 2 in 1 Folding Treadmill is that notion of 2-in-1 functionality.
What this means is that you get a deck that converts from a more typical running machine to a walking treadmill for use under a desk.
It sounds helpful, but are users impressed?

The Googo 2 in 1 Folding Treadmill has great potential for those working in an office that want more than a basic walking treadmill.
A key selling point here is the simple process of converting this machine from a running to a walking machine and back again. All you need to do is raise and lower the frame accordingly.
The aluminium frame creates a strong supportive structure for running with arms at the sides and a smart console with touchscreen controls for the various settings
This frame then folds down neatly to the back of the deck in walking mode. There you can use the secondary LCD display on the front of the deck for guidance on the session and control the machine via the wearable remote control.
That clever little watch is part of a wider list of small details designed to improve the user experience. You also get a phone holder on top, a safety cord, and some oil for maintaining the deck. Add it once a month to increase the lifespan of the machine.
Another interesting feature here is that this machine is designed for easy storage. The low profile makes it great for sliding under sofas and beds.
But, there are also padded feet that make it suitable for upright storage against a wall. This might be better in an office environment. There are also little wheels on the end to make things easier.
There are just some unavoidable limitations to the running side of the Googo Folding Treadmill to be aware of.
Unfortunately, there are some limitations in creating a 2-in-1 exercise machine like this. In order to make the walking treadmill safe and effective for all users, the running treadmill mode isn’t quite as intense as it could be.
This is mostly seen in the speed settings. In walking mode, you can go as fast as 6kmph. With the running mode, this increases to 12kmph.
While this is twice as fast and noticeable when switching modes, it is also much slower than standard machines so you aren’t going to sprint on here in the same way as some machines at the gym.
This lower intensity is also partly down to the size of the deck. The company mention that this is a “widened” belt a lot in the description, but widened compared to what?
The deck is far from the largest around as it is only 40.64cm wide and 101.6cm long. This is fine for those walking modes and for use under a desk, but not so much for running.
It isn’t all bad news with the deck, however. Still, there is a nice amount of shock absorption with the different layers in the belt and the top layers are meant to be wear-resistant and sound insulating
Is this Googo 2 in 1 Treadmill still a good fit for your fitness regime with all of this in consideration?
There are problems here if you are looking for a big contrast between your walking and running modes. You will notice a difference in speed when switching to the running treadmill but it will still feel slow compared to other treadmills.
It all depends on what you are looking for and your main objectives. If you want a typical treadmill that you can convert into an under-desk machine, this may feel a bit small and weak.
But, if you want an adaptable treadmill with more options and intensity than your normal walking machine, this could prove to be a more versatile and fun choice. There are still enough reasons to like this Googo treadmill to make it recommendable to the right user.
