There is a lot in the Opti Running Machine specification for newcomers to enjoy.
Starting with the benefits of this treadmill, it does tick quite a few boxes in terms of the basic features that new users want to see. There is a 1.5hp motor driving the belt as you work through one of the 11 programmes.
That means 10 that are pre-set and 1 that is manual. The belt has an incline setting up to 6.5 degrees and a pulse sensor in the handgrip. The majority of users seem to be able to find the programme and pace that they need for their workout.
With a maximum user weight allowance of 100kg, it is definitely accommodating to heavier users too. It seems to be well made without too many wobbles or creaks in the frame or the belt.
There is also an iPad holder onboard so you can watch something as you jog. When users are finished with their session that can fold the frame up and put the running machine away for another day.
There are still limitations to this Opti Jogging Treadmill for more experienced users.
The biggest problem with this product is the fact that it doesn’t really cater to those that want to track their progress on tougher workouts. The first issue here is that the console doesn’t seem to be able to save any of the data.
You can track the results on the basic information during the workout but then it disappears. There is also the fact that the 120cm by 40cm running surface and 12kmph maximum speed isn’t ideal for those that want to run. You might get a steady jogging pace but not a lot more than that.
What does this mean for the final recommendation on this Opti Folding Beginners Treadmill?
While there are issues here for those that are keen to get into a routine and push themselves on the running machine, there is still a lot to entice the less experienced. The programmes, settings and general ease of use are great for those just getting started.
You might only be able to get a jogging pace going but you can still do so on a user-friendly machine. Therefore, the Opti treadmill is still highly recommendable as an entry-level option.
