UREVO Folding Treadmill Review

Is The UREVO Folding Treadmill Still Intense Enough?

UREVO Foldi 1 Folding TreadmillFolding treadmills like the UREVO Folding Treadmill can often promise a lot in terms of user-friendly features but under-deliver with some of the workout options.

There are high hopes here because of the talk of a larger belt than normal and some of the settings and programmes.

Is this machine able to provide the regime that users need?

The Pros and Cons of this UREVO Treadmill.

Pros:

  •  A folding treadmill that folds completely flat
  •  A nice wide belt that should make it easier to sprint
  •  A range of pre-set programmes with a focus on natural terrain
  •  A decent console with all the necessary information on the workout
  •  Some nice extra features in the wheels, phone bracket, and safety key

Cons:

  •  No way of adjusting the incline to increase the intensity
  •  A pretty standard top speed of 12kmph that doesn’t make full use of the belt
  •  Some struggle with the mechanism for the folding frame

The UREVO Folding Treadmill has a great folding design and some nice user-friendly features for sessions at home.

Let’s start with that all-important folding design. The frame of this machine folds down completely flat so that you can store this under furniture and up against a wall.

There is a small profile because the console lies flat within the top of the device and there is no unnecessary bulk to the arms or shape of the machines.

Despite this smaller size, there is a larger deck than expected at 150cm long and 51cm wide. This extra width makes this more stable when running at higher speeds.

There is a nice selection of programmes here that you can work through as you find the best regime for your needs. There are 12 in total and there is an attempt to replicate natural settings, which is great for those training for road races.

The extra cushioning in the belt should help with any endurance-based sessions here. You can also see your progress in terms of distance, time, speed and more on the display.

Finally, there are some nice extra features within the machine to improve the experience. The transportation wheels make it even easier to wheel this into storage.

There is a phone bracket to attach to the console for apps or media. It isn’t the largest but seems stable enough for most smartphones. Also, you get an emergency key to clip to your clothes, just in case you trip on the belt.

There is nothing that impressive about the specification of this UREVO 12kmph Treadmill- which could be a pro or a con.

There are two ways of looking at the overall specification for this running machine. Many will appreciate what it can do and the more beginner-friendly settings so that they don’t become overwhelmed.

Others may wish that there was a little more to increase the intensity and more it more interesting. Two key examples here are the speed and the lack of any incline settings.

The top speed on this machine is 12kmph. This is fine for a good pace and you can also decrease the speed to more comfortable jogging or walking pace. But, other treadmills are better for sprinting with speeds around 16kmph.

An additional quirk to note is the mechanism for folding up this home treadmill. The idea is that you twist the knobs on the side and this loosens the frame.

But, one user said they had to remove the knobs entirely and find somewhere to store them. We can’t put this down to mistakes in the assembly process because this comes fully pre-assembled.

Is the UREVO Flat Folding Treadmill still recommendable to the right user?

There is still a lot to like about this machine if you are just starting out. The main focus here is the folding and storable design over anything to do with the workout options.

This is fine if you primarily need something you can use for a good sprint each day and then put away with ease.

There is the potential that the lack of intensity may hold it back eventually. But, if you find this easy enough to use, there shouldn’t be too many issues with this UREVO treadmill.
